Thomas F. Leo, 49 of Manchester, formerly of Derry died Saturday April 9, 2011 surrounded by those who loved him, at Elliot Hospital of Manchester, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Leo was born August 10, 1961 in Everett, MA, and was the son of the late Frank and Ruth (Leitz) Leo. He was raised and educated in Tewksbury, and was a graduate of Shawsheen Valley Technical High School.
Mr. Leo was employed as sheet metal mechanic, and computer technician. He was an entrepreneur and former owner of PC Family Electronics. He was a longtime resident of Derry and was very active as a coach and volunteer with Derry Little League, and Derry Pop Warner Football. Tom will long be remembered as "Papa Leo", a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed people, and cherished his time with his beloved family and friends.
Members of the family include his wife of 29 years, Denise (Peters) Leo of Manchester, a son, Derek Leo of Derry, daughter Jennifer Leo-Chickering and her husband Jacob, of Manchester, four grandchildren, Chandler, Keira, Isabella and Kianna, and a sister Debbie Leo of Maine.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, April 13th from 4 to 7pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Memorial service is being planned for a later date.
