BROOKFIELD;Edgar J. Dufault 92 of 16 Pine Lane, died Wednesday Jan. 21 at The Meadows of Leicester. He was the husband of Norma I. (Thayer) Dufault who died in 2002. He leaves a sister Irene Derrick of E.Brookfield, three grandchildren Kara Dalton of No.Grafton, Erin Cooper of Scotland, Derek Lynch of Osseo, Minn., and three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, John E. Lynch of Fargo, N.D. died in 1999 and a brother Leon Dufault predeceased him.Mr. Dufault moved to E.Brookfield at age 10 with his parents who owned and operated the former Dufault Bros. Shoe Factory. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer in 1930 and Bay Path Institute in Springfield with an Associates Degree in Business. He was a former member of the Brookfield Board of Health, and was a Town Registrar. He enjoyed playing pool and poker as well as harness racing and fishing. Born in Brockton, he was the son of Joseph and Josephine (Simpson) Dufault and lived here since 1948. A memorial calling hour will be held Friday Jan. 23 from 3 to 4P.M. in the J.Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial wil be in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, W.Brookfield.
