Milton R. Brennan, 82, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday April 7, 2011, in the Villa Crest Healthcare Center, Manchester, NH. He was born in Aylesford, Nova Scotia, on May 27, 1928, son of the late Horace and Marjorie Brennan, and had been a resident of Londonderry since 2008. Mr. Brennan grew up in Nova Scotia and moved to Melrose, MA when he was 5 years old. Growing up he worked at the family’s milk business, “Brennan Dairy,” delivering milk in the mornings with his father before going to school. Mr. Brennan met his future wife, Janet, while attending Melrose High School. They married and moved to Reading, MA where they had their two children. They enjoyed traveling as a family, camping and spending summers at their camp in Alton Bay, NH. He was active in the Reading United Methodist church and the Good Samaritan Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Reading. In 1986 Mr. Brennan retired to Bradford, NH after working 40+ years for Standard Forms, Inc., and then moved to Londonderry in 2008. He enjoyed being active in church, gardening, and traveling the world, and, he loved animals - especially dogs and cats - and his daily walks with his wife.
He is survived by his wife; Janet (Jackson) Brennan of Londonderry, a daughter; Meredith Joyce Dance of Londonderry, a son; Mark Wesley Brennan and his wife Debra Kay, three grandsons; Wesley Mark, Joshua Paul and Adam Reid all of Londonderry, four nephews and one niece. He was predeceased by a brother; Marshall Brennan and a sister; Zaida Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday April 12, 2011 at the Londonderry United Methodist Church, 258 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. The family will greeted friends from 10:30 - 11:30 AM with a luncheon that followed the service. Mr. Brennan will be buried at the New Riverside Cemetery in Alton, NH, after a private service at a later date.
