Carlos E. Lievano Sr. 87, of Milford, and a former longtime resident of Franklin, died peacefully, Wednesday April 6th, at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Connie (DeFrancisco) Lievano.
Born in Bogota, Colombia on August 6, 1923 a son of the late Felix J. & Rosalbina (Baraja) Lievano, he was raised and educated in Colombia, and came to America in 1963 and settled in Franklin a short time later.
Mr. Lievano was a retired accountant for State Street Bank in Boston, a position he held for over 25 years.
He enjoyed history, politics, and was always willing to engage someone in a good debate. He treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and also liked to travel, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his children; Olga L. Conley of Scituate, James Lievano of Champagne, Illinois, Carlos Lievano Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Constance McGuire of Milford.
Also surviving are his grandchildren Paul J., Stephanie N. Lievano, Stephen J., Daniel C. Conley, Michael T. McGuire, Hanah M. Lievano, Alex C., & Ryan J. McGuire.
He was the brother of the late Alfredo, Felix, Rosalbina, Ricardo, Bernardo, & Guillermo Lievano.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday April 14th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
His interment will be held privately.
