Elizabeth A. (Araujo) Silva, 89, of New Bedford died January 20, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late James J. Silva and George Morris.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Luiz and Eugena (Barbosa) Araujo, she grew up in Onset and New Bedford, and had lived in Providence, Boston and California for many years before returning to live in New Bedford.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Her greatest joys were her family, dancing, cooking and entertaining.
Survivors include 2 sons, Joseph "Sonny" Morris of Middleboro, and Kenneth Silva of New Bedford; a daughter, Judith Silva of Pittsburgh, Penn.; 3 sisters, Edith Silva of Waterbury,Conn., and Alzira and Ceciltina, both of Lisbon, Portugal; 2 brothers, Jose and Leonel, both of Lisbon; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John Wilson Araujo.
