Herbert C. Bemis, 50, of Medway, died, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
Born in Roslindale on May 26, 1960, he was a son of Harold and Edna (Marshall) Bemis of Northbridge.
Mr. Bemis was a lifelong resident of Medway and was the owner of H & H Flooring, a longtime family business, for many years.
A “jack of all trades”, Mr. Bemis enjoyed working on old vehicles and restoring colonial homes. He loved riding snowmobiles and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Beside his parents, he is survived by his devoted longtime companion, Cindy Willette, his daughter Casey Bemis of Medway and his siblings, Barbara DeLorey of Uxbridge, Carolyn Eason of Franklin, Donna Foreman of Harwich Port, Harold M. Bemis of Brewster, Ralph Bemis of Medway, Andrea Barker of Upton and his twin-brother Howard Bemis of Hudson.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, April 11 at 2 p.m. in the Medway Village Church, 170 Village St. in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
