Marvin Wilson Lovelace, age 75, of 77 Center Trail, Pelham, NC, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Alamance Regional Medical Center, Burlington, NC.
Born July 15, 1935 in Danville, he was the son of the late Samson Clipper Lovelace and Nettie Blanche Travis Lovelace. Mr. Lovelace was a master gardener, loved fishing, and was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a Supervisor for Copeland Fabrics for a number of years. His wife, Shirley Ann Farmer Lovelace, predeceased him.
Survivors include one son: Tommy Ray Lovelace of Pelham, NC; three daughters: Linda Lovelace Gregores of Madison Heights, VA, Marvis Lynn Lovelace of Greensboro, NC, and Rhonda Ann Lovelace of Pelham, NC.; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lovelace.
Funeral services officiated by Elder Theron Hall will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 8, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
