Laurie Lee (Petterson) Kirkland 61, of Woonsocket, died Sunday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was born in Providence, a daughter of Virginia (Lee) Kaiser of Narragansett and the late Laurence King Petterson. Laurie was a writer and organizational speaker.
Besides her mother she leaves two sons, JR and Laurence Kirkland, a brother William H. Petterson and a granddaughter Claire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis De Sales Church, 381 School St. N. Kingston. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in N. Kingston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations to Meeting St. School, 1000 Eddy St. Providence, RI 02905 in her memory would be appreciated.
