Claire M. Brooks, a resident of North Andover, formerly of Suisun City, California, was surrounded and comforted by her loving family as she passed peacefully from their arms into the hands of God on Saturday morning, April 2, 2011, at Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born in Methuen, on January 31, 1952, the beloved daughter of late Ted and Beatrice (Martineau) Brooks. Claire was raised in Lawrence and attended St. Patrick's Grammar School and became one of the last graduates of St. Patrick's High School. She had worked for Western Electric in North Andover, DeLucca Fence Company of Methuen and MV Transportation in Fairfield, California.
She moved back to New England last year to take pleasure in spending more time with her family. She loved cooking and sharing dinner every night as family.
She will be sorely missed by her loving twin sister; Shirley and her husband, Richard Kenney of North Andover, brother; Paul and his wife Susan Brooks of Salem, New Hampshire, aunt; Claire Martineau of Salem, New Hampshire and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dennis Brooks.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick Church, Broadway, Lawrence, Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 9 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Burial and calling hours were private. For additional information, please visit, www.burkemagliozzi.com.
