Obituary

William P. Maguire 83,of Natick, died on April 1, 2011 at the Birch Manor Health Care Facility in Chicopee. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Trudo) Maguire who died in 1986.

A Natick resident for 45 years he was born in Newton the son of the late Michael J and Catherine(O'Connell) Maguire.

Mr. Maguire was a Master Plumber and the owner of W.P. Maguire Plumbing and Heating Company of Natick from which he retired in 1975.He previously was employed with his father and brothers at Maguire Plumbing and Heating of Newton.

Mr. Maguire was a veteran of the United States Army WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre with the occupying forces in Japan.

He was a member of St Patrick Parish and was a volunteer in many of its committees, the Natick Lodge of Elks, was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing.

Most important in life was his family and spending time with his grandchildren whom he cherished.

He is survived by three children, Audrey C. Cournoyer of Springfield, Brian A. Maguire and his wife Meg of Natick, Paul M. Maguire and his wife Cindy of Natick, two sisters, Maureen Rugo of Wilimington NC, Ann O'Shaughnessy and her husband Joe of Hampton NH, one brother Bob Maguire and his wife Lorraine of Harwichport, 8 grandchildren William Cournoyer, Michael Cournoyer , Erin Trybulski, Kelly Laskowski, Patrick Maguire, Sean Maguire, Camryn Maguire, Collin Maguire, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Michael Maguire, Kay Scriven, and brother in law of the late Al Rugo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday April 7 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patricks Church at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
