Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 10:30am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, at 12:30pm. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Etta M. (Fearn) Stigelman, 84 years, died Monday at the Skilled Care Center in Kingston, MA after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Penns Grove, NJ a daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Stites) Fearn. She was a graduate of Penns Grove High School, Class of 1937. In 1956 Etta, her husband William H. Stigelman and children moved to Brockton and she had been a resident until 1996 when she moved to Kingston. After raising her sons she returned to work and was employed in the Credit Department of Sears Roebuck, Brockton until her retirement. She had been a member with her husband of the Wedgewood Country Club for several years. Mrs. Stigelman was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her two sons William H. Stigelman Jr. and his wife Judith of Cleveland Heights, OH and Kurt J. Stigelman of Bryantville, MA, one granddaughter Olivia E. Stigelman, several nieces and nephews, one brother Kilmer Fearn of Woodstown, NJ, two sisters Leonora Zane of Penns Grove, NJ and Betty Myers of Quillytown, NJ.
She was the wife of the late William H. Stigelman, grandmother of the late Angelica D. Stigelman, sister of the late Stites and Clarence Fearn and Rebecca Loper.
