Mrs. Sandra L. (Rezac) Dumont, of Taunton, died Sunday, April 3 in the Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Paul A. Dumont. She was born 65 years ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Marie (Finn) Rezac. She was educated in Cheyenne, having graduated from St. Mary’s High School there, and was also a graduate of the Bristol-Plymouth School of Nursing in Massachusetts. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Life Care Center of Raynham for several years. She had previously been employed at GLC-Wedgemere, Longmeadow of Taunton and Marian Manor. Mrs. Dumont volunteered for various charitable organizations. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, reading, knitting, playing bingo, visiting Foxwoods with her daughters, and listening to music, especially Andrea Bocelli and Aerosmith. She attended Holy Rosary Church in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 2 sons: Paul V. Dumont of Taunton, Craig V. Dumont and his wife, Debra of Norton; 2 daughters: Lisa M. Benevides of Taunton, Patricia M. Lyon and her husband, Christopher of Taunton; 1 brother: Larry Rezac of Peoria, Ariz.; 1 sister: Rosemarie Anderson of Kimball, Neb.; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Frances Elliott of Prescott, Ariz.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, on Monday, April 11 at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma., 01701, or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma., 01701.
