GLOUCESTER: Faye A. (Pratt) Maguire, 68, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Francis L. Maguire.
Born in Gloucester on July 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Aubert P. and Pauline A. (Jacquard) Pratt. A lifelong resident of Gloucester, she was a graduate of Gloucester High School and had attended North Shore Community College.
In addition to her husband of twenty years, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalyn A. and Michael LaCivita of Hampstead, North Carolina and Renee K. and John Finley of Easley, South Carolina; a son, William L. Croft, Jr of Gloucester; two granddaughters, Jennifer F. (LaCivita) Blake and Felicia A. Finley, grandson, Jared David LaCivita, and a great-granddaughter, Lily A. Blake. She was also predeceased by her brother Philip Pratt.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church, Gloucester at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Interment will be held in the Beechbrook Cemetery, W. Gloucester.
