NATICK: Marian (Murphy) Height, 82, died peacefully on December 19, 2010 following a brief illness at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick.
She was born in Oak Bluffs on June 12, 1928 the daughter of the late George S. Murphy and Alice S. (Smith) Murphy.
Marian is survived by her devoted and loving son, Donald M. Height of Natick. She was the sister of Janet Dewire of Acton and Vivian Terella of Leominster. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W. Height who died in November 1995 and sister of the late Hilda Garcia and George S. Murphy, Jr.
Marian has been a resident of Natick for over 52 years and previously resided in Cambridge. She was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin. For many years prior to her retirement she was associated with the Accept Transportation Co. and with JFK Transportation as a special needs bus driver. She enjoyed traveling, music and flower gardening at her home. She was a loving wife and mother to her family and will be greatly missed by them and all who knew her.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland with the Reverend David Forsythe, Pastor of the Manchester Baptist Church officiating.
Interment of her cremains will be in the Height family lot in Rosedale Cemetery in Manchester-by-the-Sea at 2:30 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2011.
