
Sharon L. (Dappolonio) Rowell, 63, of Whitman passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday April 2nd, in the South Shore Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to James Rowell.
She was born in East Boston, grew up in Norwell, daughter of the late Hugh and Lucille (Elgan) Dappolonio. Sharon was a graduate of Norwell high School.
She has been a Whitman resident since 1968, worked at Aramark Company for many years as a Data Processor.
Sharon was a science fiction buff, especially Godzilla movies, enjoyed going to casinos and Caribbean cruises, she also loved to play bingo.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her children James L. Rowell, Jr., and his fiancé Kelli Williams of Whitman, Dawn Mandanici and her husband Thomas of Whitman and Cindy L. Capozzi and her husband Richard of Brockton, her sisters, Marsha Cayon of Whitman, Paula Dappolonio of Norwood: also her grandchildren, Steven, Thomas, Jr. and Brieanna, several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her services on Thursday April 7th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Internment will follow in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA.
