Russell C. Hobbs, 79, of Manchester died April 3, 2011 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Goffstown, NH on February 1, 1932, the son of Clayton G. and Margaret (Flood) Hobbs. He was a graduate of Manchester High School Central, class of 1949. He served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War era.
Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Fuller Brush for over 50 years.
Russell enjoyed visiting the Londonderry Flea Market and will be remembered as a loving, devoted family man who found his greatest joy at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Family members include his wife of 30 years, Diane (Larochelle) Hobbs of Manchester.
He is also survived by his daughter, Christina (Coffran) Shea and her husband Curtis of Manchester; one grandson, Cole Shea of Manchester; his siblings, Barbara Farmer of Virginia, Leonard Hobbs of Goffstown, and Kathryn Fischer of Arizona; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was predeceased by brothers Alan, Calvin, Edwin, and Carlton and a sister Doris Barnaby.
The funeral service was held Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the Lambert Funeral Home chapel.
