CRAWFORD, Harry S. of Revere, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on April 3, 2011. He was 87. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile N. (Myers) Crawford. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Halprin) Crawford. Devoted father of Dianne E. McCarthy and her husband William J. of Marblehead, Natalie C. Crawford of Ware, Edward Jeffries of Revere, Ronald Crawford of Revere, and the late John Morrison. Dear brother of Dorothy Tirrell of Winthrop, and the late Joseph and William Crawford. Adored grandfather of Dianne Lincoln and her husband Paul of East Brookfield, Chance Boisse of Sandwich, Kerrin McCarthy of Brooklyn, NY, Michael McCarthy and his wife Patricia of Weston, CT, Jessalyn, Susie, Merritt, and Edward Jeffries, and Lauren Crawford. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St, WINTHROP, on Tues. April 5, beginning at 9am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. John the Evangelist Church at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited. Cremation will be private. Prior to his retirement, Harry was a self employed mason and bricklayer. One of his favorite pastimes was going to Suffolk Downs to enjoy the races and the horses.
