Obituary

Charles A. LaCorti, 82, of East Walpole died April 1 in the Ellis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Norwood.
Born in Walpole, October 11, 1928, the son of the late James and Virginia (Mannucci) LaCorti, Mr. LaCorti was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. LaCorti was a graduate of Walpole High School. He also was a graduate of Northeastern University in 1965 with a degree in Electronic Engineering and he received a Masters Degree in Business Administration for the Florida Research Institute in 1970.
Mr. LaCorti had been an engineer for the Raytheon Company before his retirement.
He had previously worked for the Digital Equipment Corporation also as an engineer.
Mr. LaCorti enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading and music.
He served in the Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Private First Class.
He is survived by his brother James LaCorte and his wife Rita of Falmouth and his brother –in-law Roland Lonergan of Stoughton and sister-in-law Lucille LaCorte of Norwood.
He was the brother of the late John, Joseph, Thomas LaCorti and Marie Lonergan.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Susan Keller, Michael, James, Paul, Nancy Lonergan and Cathy Clinton, Richard and Thomas LaCorti, William and David LaCorte, Cynthia Dabrowski, Loretta Verrecchia and Joyce Gorman.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 6 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 8:00 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Charity of One’s Choice.
