Bernice M. (Fagan) Hart, 82, of New Bedford died April 2, 2011 at Hathaway Manor after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late Paul T. Hart.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francis and Bernice (Chicoine) Fagan, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Hart was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church in New Bedford.
She was formerly employed as a waitress at Me and Ed's, Green Diner and the Buttonwood Grille for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Hart enjoyed reading, the beach, trips to Foxwoods and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, P. Timothy Hart and his wife Ann of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Warn and her husband Steven and Theresa Lawless and her husband Stephen, all of New Bedford; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Tuesday, April 5th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church in New Bedford at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, April 4th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Perkins School For The Blind for their Talking Books Library, 175 N. Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02472.
