Obituary


Manchester, NH – Richard A. Haynes, 81, died April 1, 2011 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in Wilmington, MA on August 14, 1929 the son of James W. and Bertha (Simpson) Haynes.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars. He was an avid camper.
Prior to his retirement he worked in shipping and receiving for the Diamond Crystal Salt Company.
Family members include 2 sons, Richard Haynes of Woburn, MA., Peter Haynes of Manchester, NH 3 daughters, Sharon A. Bostock of Methuen, MA.. Michele A. Kelly, Jennifer L. Mailloux, both of Manchester, NH, 2 brothers, Robert Haynes of Billerica, MA., Phillip Haynes of Methuen, MA. and his former wives, Dorothy Loder of Wilmington, MA, and Charlene Haynes of Manchester, NH.
In His Life: He leaves 7 grandchildren, Christina Woodbury, Stephen Haynes, Jessica Haynes, Brianna MacDonald, Taylor Mailloux, Adrian Mailloux, Benjamin Mailloux, and 2 great grandchildren, Alexander Woodbury and Annika Woodbury. He was predeceased by 1 brother, Paul Haynes.
Services: Calling hours will be on Monday from 3 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester, NH.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10 AM in the First United Methodist Church, 961 Valley St. Manchester, NH.
Burial will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richard’s name to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
