Hope E. “Candi” Roy, 60, of Norfolk Avenue, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Gerard A. Roy.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Fosh) Roy. She had lived in Pawtucket for 19 years and had previously lived in Providence.
She was the lead singer of Candi’s Country Classics for over 24 years. She was an active member of the CMA of RI and had been inducted into their Hall of Fame. She was a talented seamstress.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son Edward Brooks of Townsend, MT, a daughter Gina Manney of Cranston, a sister Anita “ChiChi” Vinacco of Providence and four grandchildren.
Her funeral and visitation will be announced when plans are finalized.
