Rose Marie (St. Pierre) Leduc, 73, of Westport passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Bertrand Leduc.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Fontaine) St. Pierre. Rose Marie worked in the food service industry for over 20 years at UMASS Dartmouth.
Including her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Ronald Leduc and his wife Julie of Rockland, MA and Richard Leduc and his wife Nicole of San Antonio, TX; 2 daughters: Annette Soares and her husband David of Lake Wylie, SC and Diane Bienvenue and her husband Stephen of Swansea, MA; a brother: Roger St. Pierre of FL; 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Alexa, Brady, Miranda and Jax; and several nieces and nephews.
Rose Marie was a wonderful, nurturing and caring mother. Her tremendous compassion, selflessness, courage, keen sense of humor and relentless optimism impacted everyone with whom she came in contact. Rose Marie took pleasure in reading a great book while sipping a coffee coolatta. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to St. Croix and visiting her children in various parts of the country. Rose Marie truly loved and cherished her husband and four children. Her proudest and happiest moments were when she spent time with them and her six wonderful grandchildren.
Calling hours Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2 – 5 P.M.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, April 4, 2011. The funeral procession will begin at 8:30 A.M. from the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Catholic Mass at St. George Church, Westport at 9:30 A.M.
Immediately following the mass, interment will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
