Russell E. Schwarzenberg age 89 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended school, and graduated from Lawrence High School. He later graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA. He was a resident of Salem for the past 59 years.
Mr. Schwarzenberg was co-owner & president of H & S Machine Company in Lawrence, MA. He was a 50 year member of the Lawrence United Masonic Lodge, where he received the Joseph Warren Award in 2003. He was a past Trail Master of the NH Wanderers-Good Sam Club, a former little league coach in Salem, and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 2 at Christ Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, MA. He was also a member of the New England Wood Carvers and was an avid golfer. Mr. Schwarzenberg also served his country in the US Army during World War II.
He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years: Frances L. (LaGrange) Schwarzenberg

9 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews
Calling hours will be Sunday, Apr. 3rd from 1-4 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
