Spada, Frank S., age 85 of Dedham, MA, March 31, 2011.
From the humble beginnings as the son of an Italian Immigrant family that established residence in Roxbury, MA. Graduate of MIT,1956 in Electrical Engineering and Northeastern,1962 he spent a lifetime as a business entrepreneur while also establishing himself as a highly respected Professor of Electronic Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology for 31 years never leaving his post. He was energized by his students enabling him to continue teaching until illness forced his leave in January 2011. Survived by brother Albert Spada and sister Rose Garzone. Predeceased by siblings Rocco Spada, John Spada, Theresa Senesi, and Joe Spada. Frank leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Anna Margaret (Saia) Spada along with 5 children Salvatore, Frank, Richard, Paul, and Joanne. Grandfather of 7 children Charlotte, Vittoria, Francesco, Antonio, Dominic, Salvatore, and Maria.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham, Mon. at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, Westwood at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sun. 3-8 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Frank’s name to the Lahey Clinic Cancer Center, 41 Mall Rd. Burlington, MA 01805.
