Bruce J. “J.R.” Moore, 67, of Webster, Florida, formerly of Ashburn, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Dean will officiate with burial to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery in Lakeland. Kirt Moore, Jeffrey Mullan, Jimmy Mullan, Bruce Moore, Dennis Moore and Ken Moore will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3, 2011, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Moore was born on September 14, 1943 in Lakeland and was the son of Samuel Bruce Moore and Rena Sangster Moore, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, John H. Moore. He was a landscaper and a roofer.
Mr. Moore is survived by two sons, Rick Moore (Brenda) and Eric Moore, all of Haines City, Florida; two daughters, Tonya Mullan (Jimmy) of Webster, Florida and Stella Terry (Randy) of Haines City, Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Betty Moore of Sycamore; six grandchildren, Misti Willard of Winter Haven, Florida, Kirt Moore of Anchorage, Alaska, Tabitha Mullan of Leesburg, Florida, Travis Terry of Lakeland, Florida, Jeffrey Mullan of Webster, Florida and Kendalle Terry of Haines City, Florida; six great-grandchildren, Myles Willard, Allyssa Willard and Preston Willard, all of Winter Haven, Florida and Victoria Moore, Chloe Moore and Kaley Moore, all of Anchorage, Alaska; and many nieces and nephews.
