Robert Leroy Choatie, age 82 of Clarksville, TN, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Lakeshore Heartland Nursing Home in Nashville, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Bob Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service on Friday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Choatie was born July 2, 1928 in Mt. Carmel, IL, son of the late Herschel and Virginia Choatie. He was retired from the US Army.
Survivors include his companion, Edeltrauda Safko, Clarksville; three sons, Steve Choatie, Goodlettsvile, TN; David Choatie and Tony Choatie both of Clarksville; a daughter, Cathy; and one grandchild, Timothy.
