TAUNTON – Eugenia M. (Araujo) DaSilva, wife of the late Adolfo DaSilva, died at her Taunton home surrounded by her family on March 28, 2011.
She was 102.
Born in Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia (Mendes) Araujo.
Mrs. DaSilva moved to the United States at the age of 85 and resided in Brockton for several years before relocating to Taunton nine years ago.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards and telling stories.
Survivors include two sons, Manuel DaSilva of Taunton, and Joao DaSilva of Cape Verde; two daughters, Adalia Fernandes of Brockton and Lucilia DaSilva of Taunton; twenty-six grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday April 2nd at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday April 1st from 5 to 8 p.m.
