Obituary

Salem: Jeannette G. (Pariseau) Raymond, age 81, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Radius Healthcare in Danvers, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Henry R. Raymond.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late George O. and Celina (Bourgault) Pariseau. For most of her career, Jeannette was an insurance underwriter for the former Auger Insurance Agency, and later for the John Walsh Insurance Co. She retired from Cassidy Insurance of Swampscott.

Jeannette was a religious woman who was active in Ste. Anne Parish and served as a lector. She loved music and sang with the Paul Madore Chorale for many years as well as the Ste. Anne Choir.

She is survived by three sons, Richard H. Raymond, Peter R. Raymond and his wife Shannon O’Donnell all of Salem, Edward P. Raymond and his wife Ruth Ann of Stanton, VA, and a brother Ernest Pariseau of Conyers, GA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Laurie, Joseph, Samantha, Megan and Cassandra, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Pariseau.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church at 11 a.m. Visiting hours: Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in the National Cemetery in Bourne.
