Bernard J. Skehill 76, of Franklin, died Sunday March 27, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Carole L. (McAndrews) Skehill.
Born in Brighton, August 21, 1934 a son of the late John and Christine (Kelly) Skehill, he was raised and educated in Brighton and was a graduate of St. Columbkille High School.
For nearly 40 years and until his retirement, Mr. Skehill worked in the transportation department as a truck driver for the Star Market Company. He was also a longtime member of Boston Local #25 Teamsters Union.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years are 2 sons; Sean B. Skehill and his wife Catherine of Falmouth, Kenneth P. Skehill of Hudson, 3 daughters; Lisa A. Caughey and her husband Kevin of Medfield, Lori H. Gifford of Dery, New Hampshire, and Patricia A. Bissanti and her husband Michael of Franklin, a brother Francis X. Skehill of Dedham, and 17 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Saturday April 2nd, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
