LOWELL – Gertrude (Salois) Guy 90 died Sunday March 27, 2011 at the D’Youville Manor in Lowell, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter Harry and Katherine (McCaffrey) Salois. She worked in the local mills prior to her marriage and then devoted her time caring for her children and family. She enjoyed sewing, painting, puzzles, vacationing, shopping and spending time with her family.
The widow of Richard Guy, she is survived by her children, Cheryl Guy of Newton, NH, Paula Guy of North Carolina, Richard Guy and his wife Carol of Methuen, MA and Brian Guy of Old Towne, ME.
One sister Katherine Collinson of Methuen, MA
11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her daughter Donna Flanders.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to D’Youville Foundation 981 Varnum Street Lowell, MA 01854. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
