
ROCKINGHAM: Mrs. Frances Lynch Powell, 83, of 801 Beaverwood Ct., Rockingham, died Monday, March 28, 2011 in her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, in the Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Hatcher officiating. Internment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Powell was born in Hartsville, SC, on February 28, 1928 to the late Caleb and Daisy Jernigan Lynch. She worked in textiles and was an active member of Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Powell, a son, David McLean, 2 brothers, Houston and Vander Lynch, 2 sisters, Mary Rogers and Catherine Hollingsworth, a grandson and 2 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Lindie McLean of Ellerbe; two daughters, Lillie Mae Kelley of Lincoln Park, MI, Fae Bailey of Rockingham; four brothers, Jimmy Lynch of Hamlet, Claude Lynch of Cordova, Johnny Lynch of Rockingham, Ray Lynch of Cordova; two sisters, Ruth Teal of Hamlet, Janie Sue Brigman of Cordova; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Trinity Emmanuel Holiness Church.
