Obituary

Jane M. (Muir) Morin, 85, of Medway died Sunday, March 26, 2011 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. She was the wife of Walter C. Morin who died in 1992.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 30, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jane (Walker) Muir.

Mrs. Morin was raised in Corby, England and met her husband during WWII while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. During his 20 years of service, she traveled around the world with her husband and children until settling down in Jamaica Plain for many years and later moved to Medway in 1999.

Mrs. Morin was a nurse’s aide in various nursing homes in the Cambridge and Jamaica Plain area for many years.

Mrs. Morin enjoyed knitting and reading and spending time with family and friends. She was also an active member of the Medway Senior Center.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas Morin and his wife Laraine of Jamaica Plain, David Morin and his wife Rene of Randolph and Rick Morin and his former spouse Dolores of Medway, a daughter Linda Muir-Robinson and her husband John of Medway, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was sister of the late Thomas, David and William Muir.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, March 31 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.

Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Medway Friends of Elders, 76 Oakland St., Medway, MA 02053.
