Obituary

Walter S. Roman, 87, passed away at the Golden Living Center-Dexter House in Malden on March 27th, 2011. He was born in Walpole on October 29th, 1923 to his parents Adam and Theresa (Leftkowsky) Roman. Walter was raised and educated in East Cambridge. He has been a resident of Malden for most of his life. For over 35 years, he worked as a Meat Cutter for Sprague Brothers Wholesale Meats in Boston. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the company of his family. He is survived by his daughter Carol Gori and her husband Marco of Malden; by his grandsons; Jason Gori and his wife Christine of Wakefield and Tomas Gori and his wife Sabrina of Stoneham; and by his great grandchildren Zachary, Ethan and Isabella Gori. Walter was predeceased by his wife Lucille A. (Glebus) Roman. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin funeral home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Thursday March 31st at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday March 30th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 40 Washington St., Wellesley, MA 02481.
