Maria “Belina” (Pacheco) Mauricio, age 88, a Fall River resident for 38 years, passed away March 28, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Gabriel Mauricio. Born in Porto Formoso, Sâo Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio & Maria de Conceicâo (Rodrigues) Fulgencio. Prior to retiring in 1983, Maria was a Polisher for the former Copper Craft Co. in Taunton, and previously worked as a Turner in the Garment Industry. She was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church.
Maria was the mother of Joe Mauricio (wife Marie), Manny Mauricio and Connie Mauricio Araujo (husband Carlos) all of Fall River, the grandmother of Joshua & Belinda Araujo, and Mitchell & Katerina Mauricio. She was the sister of four brothers, four sisters, & aunt to many nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY here at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
