William T. “Bill” Glynn, Jr., 64, of Hanson died Saturday March 26th surrounded by his family in the Mass General Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Faiella) Glynn.
He was born in Quincy, son of the late William T. and (Eileen Evans) Glynn and step-son of Louise (Gallagher) Glynn of Braintree.
Bill was brought up in North Quincy and graduated from North Quincy High School and Bentley College.
He was a self employed financial advisor for most of his life, where he achieved many awards and accolades of excellence.
Bill was a board member of the Old Colony Y and the Big Brother, Big Sister Foundation. He also enjoyed being a Big Brother, reading, and all sports.
In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by his sons, Tony Glynn and his wife Maura of Whitman, Matt Glynn and his wife Kerry of Fairhaven, his step-mother Louise (Gallagher) Glynn, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 step-sisters; also his grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Andrew, Mariah and Adam of Whitman and Bella of Fairhaven and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life, on Tuesday March 29th from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman.
