Robert C. Hengfuss, Jr., 61, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at home. He was born in Waukesha, WI on August 6, 1949, a son of the late Robert C. and Margaret (Butchart) Hengfuss, Sr., and had been a resident of Londonderry since 1987, formerly living in Seattle, WA. He attended the University of Wisconsin and was a fiercely loyal Green Bay Packers and Badgers fan. He had worked in the hospitality and food and beverage industry for Playboy, Sheraton, and Tropicana. He most recently worked for Macy's as a sales associate. Rob was an intellectual with strong interests in history, philosophy and politics. He enjoyed cooking, especially making meals for his grandchildren. He truly loved spending time with his family. Rob considered himself as the "luckiest man alive".
He is survived by his wife Esther A. Hiatt of Londonderry; three daughters, Casee Cullen and husband Mark of Londonderry, Perry McLellan of Pembroke, NH, and Erika Koster and husband Peter of Derry, six grandchildren, Caleb Mortensen, Ethan Cullen, Kayla Koster, Nicolas Mortensen, Jacob Cullen, and Alexander Koster.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 31st at 2:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, with cremation following. Donations may be made in Rob's memory to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038.
