David Gerald Hosack, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Shady Acres Nursing Home, Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Hosack was the son of the late Gerald C. And Myra Hosack. He was a self employed truck driver and a member of the Covenant Christian Church. Mr. Hosack was a sergeant in the Florida National Guard for over 11 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Gail Hosack. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Christian Church with interment following in the Satilla Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: wife: Shirley Land Hosack, Douglas, Ga; sons: Gerald Allen (Melissa) Hosack, Lamar Ray (Jeannie) Hosack, both of Douglas, GA; daughters: Rhonda Genell Hosack, Douglas, GA; Theresa Lynn (Mike) Watkins, Blackshear, GA; brothers: Kenneth Hosack and Billy Hosack both of Osteen, Fl; sister: Jeanette Yawn, Osteen, FL; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
