Dudley
Raymond A. Stockley, 79, of 134 Center Rd., passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 in U.Mass-Memorial Hospital, 119 Belmont St., Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Marsha I. (Hanson) Stockley, two children; Lynda S. Stockley-Rodriguez and her husband Angel of Webster, and Mark E. Stockley and his wife Glendaly of Charlton, two grandchildren; Edward F. and Tatyana A. Rodriguez and two step-grandchildren; Lissy and Jorge Vera.
Ray was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Broderick and a grandson, Nicholas A. Rodriguez.
He was born in Pittsfield, a son of Edward and Mary (Lemanski) Stockley and has lived in Dudley for many years.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Ray was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts- Amherst where he received his degree in engineering.
He worked at Rexnord Corp.,Parker Mfg. and for Raytheon Corp.
Ray was an active antiques dealer for many years, he also taught an antiques and collectables class for several years at Bay Path Regional Vocational High School.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Dudley, a founding member and first chairman of the Black Tavern Historical Society, a member of the Dudley Historical Commission and for almost 60 years a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc.
Calling Hours for Ray will be Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10 AM , in the First Congregational Church, 135 Center Rd., Dudley. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide Full Military Honors after the Church service.
