OBITUARY;WORCESTER; Rosaire J. Roy 89 of 559 Plantation St., died Thursday, January 15th at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, after an illness. He leaves his wife of 67 years, Evelyn M. (Johnson) Roy, 2 sons; Paul H. Roy of West Dennis, Dennis P. Roy of North Oxford, a brother, Paul Roy of Brimington, WA, a sister, Irene Hager of Micco, Fla., 5 grandsons; Craig P. Roy of Auburn, John J. Roy of Grafton, Todd R. Roy of Auburn, David P. Roy of Spencer, Matthew Roy of Worcester, 10 great-grandchildren; Jennifer Roy of Auburn, Tanya Roy of Worcester, Erica Roy of Auburn, Corey Roy of Auburn, Brandon Roy of Spencer, Jillian Roy of Spencer, Madison Roy of Worcester, Alex Roy of Auburn, Michael Roy of Spencer, Alexis Roy of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by; 2 brothers; Gilbert Roy, Sivlio Roy, 2 sisters; Anna Eckberg, Bertha Mosley, 2 grandsons; Michael R. Roy and Dennis P. Roy, Jr. Born in Rumford, ME, he was the son of Gilbert and Antonia (Martell) Roy and he previously lived in Jefferson, MA, then in West Yarmouth for 23 years before moving to Worcester. Mr. Roy worked in the maintenance department at Cincinatti Milacron Heald Division in Worcester for 14 years, retiring in 1980. He was a graduate of North High School. He was a member of the Bass River Country Club. He was a Union bartendar for many different establishments in Worcester. He was a past member of Holy Rosary Church in Worcester. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. At the families request funeral services will be private. Following cremation burial of ashes will be at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
