Obituary

Harvey F. Lynch, of Woburn passed away suddenly March 25th at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington at the age of 66. He was the beloved husband of Nancy A. (Gregory) and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Somerville on July 2, 1944, he was the son of the late William F. and Louise E. (Samson) Lynch.

Harvey was a Woburn resident for nearly forty years. He was raised and educated in Somerville and was a 1962 graduate of Somerville High School. Harvey worked in the security department for the Polaroid Corp. in Waltham for 26 years prior to its closing. He then worked for Draper Labs in Cambridge for 8 years until his retirement. Harvey will be remembered as "people person", he loved talking and interacting with people wherever he was and was always willing to help others in need. His true joy was spending time with his loving family. He cherished and adored his grandchildren and loved to spend as much time as possible with them. Over the years Harvey enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods Casino and traveling and vacationing with family friends on cruises or trips to Florida.

In addition to his beloved wife Nancy, Harvey is survived by his devoted children; Mark G. Lynch and his wife Christine of Woburn, Kevin F. Lynch of Haverhill, Pamela J. LaVita and her husband Salvi of Woburn, and Brian K. Lynch also of Woburn. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Jennifer, Kellie and Krista Lynch of Haverhill, Shauna and Megan Lynch of Woburn, Nicholas and Sabrina LaVita of Woburn, Alex, Kyle, Cory and Evan Lynch of Stoneham. He is further survived by his sister, Stephanie Lynch of Somerville, mother-in-law, Helen C. Gregory of Woburn, Brother-in-law, James W. Gregory and his wife Janine of Woburn and many loving nieces and nephews. Harvey is preceded in death by his brothers, William and Daniel Lynch.

Funeral service will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, March 30th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday from 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
