Obituary

Silvio S. Maccarone, of Arlington, formerly of Tewksbury and Boston’s West End, died Wednesday at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was 63.

Silvio was born and raised in the West End, the son of the late Silvio and the late Jessie (Toppi) Maccarone. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, Silvio worked in sales in the produce industry. He later started his own painting company, S&M painting which he owned and operated until his retirement. A kind and generous man, Silvio was fun to be with. He enjoyed summers on Long Beach in Gloucester for most of his life and enjoyed travel with his wife and friends to Fox Woods. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The beloved husband of Mary Ann Maniquis, he was a loving father to Christine Maccarone of Lowell and stepfather to Patricia Maniquis of Arlington. He was a dear brother to Marie Macauley of Tewksbury and the late Lawrence Maccarone and the former husband of Charlotte Cataldo.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 28th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Sunday 4 – 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
