Virgil Carloni, 90, of Norfolk died March 20 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Muriel (McGovern) Carloni.
Born in Sarnano, Italy, June 10, 1920, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Priori) Carloni, Mr. Carloni came to America at the age of 7 and had lived in Needham for many years prior to moving to Norfolk 25 years ago.
Mr. Carloni had been a self employed home builder in the Needham and Norfolk area for many years.
Mr. Carloni enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Wayne Carloni of Newburyport, Don Carloni of San Jose, California and Vernon Carloni of Norfolk.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hayley, Troy, Craig, Austen, Brian, Jeffrey Carloni, Andrea Heffernan, Christopher and David Carloni, and his great-grandson Riley Heffernan.
