Robert L. Britto, 73, of New Bedford died March 22, 2011 at Savoy Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was the husband of the late Meredith A. (Kulig) Britto.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph J. and Frances (Duarte) Britto, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Britto served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed listening to music and was a New England Patriots fan.
Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Britto of New Bedford; an aunt, Rose Almeida; 3 grandchildren, Karina, Ashley and Jayden; 2 nieces; many cousins and friends.
He was the father of the late Kevin Britto and the brother of the late Jeanette Washington, Irene Britto, Joseph "Cha-Cha" Britto and Shirley Britto.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, March 25th from 4-8 PM.
