Bridgewater – Alma G. (Roberts) Stewart 89 of Bridgewater passed away Monday March 21 peacefully with her family. She was wife of the late Robert A. “Bob” Stewart.
Born and raised in Rockland she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Elizabeth (Bent) Roberts. A 1939 graduate of Rockland High School, Alma worked as a seamstress devoted to her family and home.
Alma raised her children in Brockton and was the loving mother of Betty White-Rose and her husband Ray, Robert “Skip” White of Brockton, and Carol Geary of Tyngsborough. She leaves her cherished grandchildren Lianna and Natalie Rose, Amanda White, Cherie (Geary) Killian and husband Jack and great grandchildren Ericka and Samantha Killian. She was the sister of the late Shirley Roberts of CT and Janet (Roberts) Pierce of Abington.
Visiting hours will be held Friday April 1 from 4-7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Funeral services and burial will be private.
