Manchester- Guy L. McCoy, 70, died March 21, 2011 at Mountain Ridge Nursing Home in Franklin, NH following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on July 31, 1940 the son of John E. and F. Marguerite (Lord) McCoy. He had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to his retirement he was a case worker for the State of NH Department of Health & Human Services in Nashua.
He was a Bass guitarist and singer for various bands throughout New England, most notably the Lee Taylor Band.
He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians Union, the State Employees Association Union, and the Emerald Society.
Family members include his son Collyn O. McCoy of Santa Clarita, CA, one sister, Mrs. James (Michaele) Jenkins of Sanbornton, his former wife Carla McCoy of Dover-Foxcroft, ME., and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.
Services: A memorial reception will take place on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
