Worcester – George Desrosiers, 69, of Worcester, died on Monday, March 21st in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Jeanne M. (Kalagher) Desrosiers; his children Cynthia, Wendy, Melissa, Paula, Amy and Carrie Beth; a brother Al Desrosiers and many grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother Ronald.
George was born in Worcester son of the late Alfred and Lillian (Dumont) Desrosiers and served in the United States Coast Guard.
Mr. Desrosiers worked as a steam fitter for the City of Worcester for 30 years retiring in 1996 and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 24th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church 37 Massasoit Rd. Entombment will follow in Saint John’s Mausoleum. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the funeral home before the Mass. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
