Caroline (Costa) Souza, age 88, formerly of Fall River, passed away at the St. Patrick Residence in Naperville, IL on March 19, 2011. She was the wife of the late Antone Souza and the daughter of the late Joseph & Carolina (Rego Pavao) Costa. Prior to retiring, Caroline was a Sewing Machine Operator for the former San Toro Mfg. and a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Caroline was the mother of Lawrence Souza of Plainfield, IL and the late Stephen Souza, the sister of Margaret Rocha of New Bedford, the late Augustine Costa, Christine Pires, Odelia C. Moniz, Georgianna Albernaz, Mary Cabral, Virginia Isadore, Rosalie Themuda, & Leontina Carreiro. Grandmother of three, great grandmother of seven, and the aunt to several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, WEDNESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bedford St. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 6-8 P.M.
