NORTHBOROUGH-Arthur Nicholas Lagadinos, died at his home on Thursday, January 15th. He leaves his beloved wife of 50 years Helen (Stefanson) Lagadinos, his son Nicholas A. and his wife Pandora Lagadinos of Cotuit, 2 daughters, Elizabeth wife of Arthur Burdett of Boxborough and Stephanie wife of Thomas Parish of Westford, his grandchildren Alexander and Zachary Lagadinos of Cotuit, Ariana and Elyssa Burdett of Boxborough and Eva and Charlotte Parish of Westford. A brother Constantine “Dino” Lagadinos and a sister Helen Theoharidis predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Nicholas and Bessie (Rallis) Lagadinos and lived in Worcester until moving to Northborough in 1997. He was a 1946 graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Lagadinos was an electrical engineer, and was employed by Insurance Services Office (ISO) as the Manager of Field Representatives from 1947 until he retired in 1988. He was a Professional Registered Engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and was a part-time instructor for many years at Quinsigamond Community College. Mr. Lagadinos was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and served as Past President of its Parish Council. He was a long time member of the Order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) and was Past President of the Worcester Peter L. Bell Chapter, Past Supreme Governor of the Order of AHEPA, Past Supreme President of the Order of the Sons of Pericles and a member of the AHEPA Supreme Board of Directors. Mr. Lagadinos also served as a past member of the AHEPA National Educational Foundation and as Chairman of the AHEPA District #8 Scholarship Program for the past 19 years.
The funeral is Monday, January 19th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, January 18th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
