Ms. Ichi Kawakami Shively of Ringgold, Virginia died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the age of 84.
She was born August 20, 1926 in Chiba-Ken, Japan. She lived most of her life in the Ringgold area. She had been a CNA at Roman Eagle Memorial Home, from which she later retired. She had been in declining health for the past year. Ms. Shively was of the Buddhist faith.
Survivors include two sons: Bill Shively (Tabatha); Bobby Shively and wife Dana, all of Danville; four grandchildren: Kristen Shively, Angie Tate and husband Brian, Tyler Shively, and Nathan Shively of Danville; two great-grandchildren: Logan and Landon Tate of Laurel Grove; and one brother surviving in Japan. Ms. Shively was predeceased by her son, Donnie Shively.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, 2011 at Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel from 7-8:30 p.m.; funeral services will be private.
