Nancy G. (Truell) Strickland, a 60 year resident of Stoughton,MA , passed away on Sunday January 11,2004 at the Copley At Stoughton Nursing Facility. She was 70 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Strickland and mother of the late Michael R. Strickland.
Born October 21,1933, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Harry W. and Mrs. Hazel (Wheeler) Truell.
She was a Homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Of Stoughton, the AMVETS Ladies Auxillary and a Charter Member of the Stoughton Memorial Village.
She was also a member of the Rainbow Girls Group at the First United Methodist Church.
She received a Merit award for Americanism in recent years.
She is survived by her cousins: Phyllis A. Wheatley and her husband Russell A. of Abington,MA; Wesley A. Philbrick of Nashua,New Hampshire and Verona M. Stevens of Ossineke,MI. Also survived by many nieces and nephews including: Susan Cox and Judith Foutch both of Illinois and Robert S. Strickland of Arizona.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 17,2004 at 10:00 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. The Reverend Dr. Henry K. James officiating. Interment will follow in Canton Corner Cemetery , Canton, MA. Visiting Hour prior to the service from 9-10 A.M.
